How to Personally Know God

How to Personally Know God

How To Personally Know God

A: Admit that you are a sinner

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Romans 3:23 (CSB)

B: Believe Jesus is the son of God, sent to die for our sins, raised by God from the dead

But God proves his own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
- Romans 5:8 (CSB)

For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son,
so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
- John 3:16 (CSB)

C: Confess your sins to God and ask for forgiveness

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
- 1 John 1:9 (CSB)

If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and
believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead,
you will be saved.
O
ne believes with the heart, resulting in righteousness, and
one confesses with the mouth, resulting in salvation.
- Romans 10:9-10 (CSB)

It is simple but so very important, if you want to be saved and spend eternity with Jesus.  Below is a sample prayer:

Dear Lord,

I admit that I am a sinner.  I have done many things that don't please you.  I have lived my life for myself.  I am sorry and I repent.  I ask you to forgive me.  I believe that you died on the cross for me, to save me.  You did what I could not do for myself.  I come to you now and ask you to take control of my life.  I give it to you.  Help me to live every day in a way that pleases you.  I love you, Lord, and I thank you that I will spend all eternity with you.  Amen
