First Baptist Church Rogersville, Mo.

First Baptist Church of Rogersville, Mo., located in a growing & thriving community, is seeking a Student Pastor who will provide visionary oversight and pastoral leadership to the students of First Baptist Church Rogersville. In this position we are seeking a born-again believer of Jesus Christ, who has felt a strong calling from the Lord to minister to students grades 7-12.

We desire to see a strong Christ Centered foundation within our student ministry, with the goal of discipling the next generation, raising up leaders, and sending them out.

Student Pastor Qualifications:
• Is a born-again believer with a clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ.
• A member in good standing of a Southern Baptist Church.
• God-Centered
• A Spirit-led “self-starter” able to work without direct supervision.
• Ordained in the Gospel Ministry.
• Understands the needs of and has an affinity for young people.
• Is teachable and open to feedback and accountability.

Student Pastor Responsibilities:

1. Provide visionary oversight and pastoral leadership to the student ministry of First Baptist Church Rogersville.
a. Provide overall pastoral care for the youth, encouraging their spiritual growth and challenging them to grow in their commitment to Christ and His mission.
b. Develop and support the leadership team.
c. Planning of events (i.e., weekly gatherings, monthly fun events, outreach events, etc.)
d. Involving students in Mission Trip opportunities.

2. Embody and nurture the vision/mission held by First Baptist Rogersville
a. Connect regularly with other ministry leaders to maintain unity between ministries.
b. Attend all worship services, staff meetings.
c. Opportunities to preach may be pursued/offered.

3. Provide individualized support, nurturing of gifts, and discipleship.
a. Provide one-on-one discipleship.
b. A desire to grow our student ministry, reaching students for Christ as well as discipling them.
c. Leading a Christ-like lifestyle, praying regularly for those in the youth ministry and church body.
d. Building & maintaining relationships with parents of the students.

The Student Pastor position is a bi-vocational part time position. As a member of the Ministry Team, the Student Pastor is supervised by the Senior Pastor and shall become a member of First Baptist Church Rogersville.
